RTX Xtreme - July 26, 2016:

Tonight on RTX Xtreme, we see the RTX debut of Bobby Lashley, as he issues an open challenge to anyone on the RTX roster, as well as the Tag Team Championship on the line, as new champions Richards and O'Reilly defend against the Kings of Wrestling!

#1 Contenders' Match
Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Lashley:
Eddie Edwards won a World Title Match
by upsetting the debuting Lashley
This was Lashley's first RTX appearance, as he was going to issue an open challenge to any man on the RTX roster. Because of the recent problems between Lashley and Edwards in TNA, Lashley saw fit to call out Eddie Edwards. Edwards accepted, but added the stipulation that, because of the controversial fashion he had lost the RTX title, the winner would get a World title shot at Cold Day In Hell. As the action began, World Champ Chris Sky came down to the ring and joined on commentary. Sky said that "he would love to tie up with Edwards because he knew that he and Edwards would tear the house down", but he had waited months to fight Lashley. As you'd guess, Lashley dominated the match, blocking and reversing nearly all of Edwards' attacks until Lashley collided with the ring post. Edwards tried a quick rollup pin but Lashley kicked out. Edwards climbed to the top rope but Lashley caught him and hit a belly-to-belly suplex from the top rope. Lashley positioned himself in the corner for the spear but Edwards saw it coming and caught him in mid-spear with the Boston Knee Party. Lashley kicked out! Edwards went to the top rope and tried the foot stomp but Lashley moved and hit the spear! Edwards kicked out! As Lashley grabbed a steel chair, Chris left the commentators' table and met Lashley on the floor. Sky grabbed the steel chair out of his hand but Lashley pushed him from behind and Chris hit the steps. Lashley attempted to come back in the ring but Edwards foot stomped his back on the way in. Edwards then managed to cradle Lashley and get the win. After the match, Edwards and Sky have a playful staredown in the ring.

RTX World Tag Team Championship
Richards & O'Reilly defeated The Kings of Wrestling (Hero/Castignoli):
The Kings of Wrestling were already having issues because of the RTX World Championship Match at World On Fire. Tension was showing between the two in that match because they both wanted to win the title but were too busy arguing to win it. Richards and O'Reilly had won the title only three days before by defeating the Young Bucks after an interference by Chris Sky. The Young Bucks came out early in the match with chairs and sat at ringside to "watch the match". Nick sported a bandage on his head from being hit with the title belt by Chris Sky three days ago. The Bucks tried to distract Richards and O'Reilly several times in the match, at one point even hitting a double superkick on Richards outside the ring. Back in the ring the Kings hit the KRS ONE on O'Reilly but outta nowhere, Claudio uppercuts Hero!! The Bucks watched Claudio stunned as O'Reilly manages to cover Hero back in the ring to retain the titles. The Bucks then attacked Richards O'Reilly with a ladder and dropped Richards with the Indy-Taker. The Bucks set up the ladder and climbed it. Matt had a microphone in his hand and challenges Richards and O'Reilly to a ladder match at Cold Day In Hell.
