Chris Sky's Top 10 Most Extreme Moments (10-6)

Since the inception of RTX back in 2007, Chris Sky has been perhaps the true innovator of aerial wrestling in this company. He is also known to be pretty insane, actually, as this list shows. But because he can still wrestle IronMan matches like they're squash matches, you'd never know some of the moves on this list (a particular one, to be exact) would shorten his career and very well his life as well. Today we take a look back at the RTX original's most extreme moments.

10. Powerbombed Through Four Tables by Bubba Ray Dudley (Xtreme - September 1, 2009):
Sky and his cousin Caleb Essick, although they were the reigning Tag Team Champions during this brutal spot, were still rookies that found themselves on the wrong end of a beat down at the hands of the Dudley Boyz. With Caleb being held on a stack of tables by D-Von, Bubba Ray powerbombed the older man over the top rope, shattering not only the tables but the bodies of the champs as well.

9. The Ending of his Classic Ladder Match with Rob Van Dam (Hunt3d - January 11, 2008):
Ironically, Sky's very first feud in RTX was with Rob Van Dam over who would become the inaugural Intercontinental Champion. After two time-limit draws in as many pay-per-views, as well as repeated attacks by Sky against the veteran, the two found themselves in an unforgettable Ladder Match at the first PPV of 2008. As you see in the gif above, Chris took a pretty nasty spill that ultimately gave Van Dam the title. But Chris has had worse days, as you will see.

8. "We Will Do Anything To Keep These Titles!" (Victory Road - March 9, 2019):
This one is pretty darn recent and still fresh in the minds of the RTX Universe. After reuniting with best friend Bear earlier this year, the duo quickly won tag team gold. After Christian and Edge no showed at Victory Road, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, the same men they won the titles from, stepped up. The quote from Sky (see above) wasn't a lie, as he would perform a beautiful corkscrew from the top of the cage, and all to retain the titles.

7. Missed Swanton Bomb on the Steel Steps (Totality Night 1 - April 20, 2016):
Chris Sky had the opportunity of a lifetime at 2016's two-night Totality event. Facing Jay Lethal in a 45-Minute IronMan Match with the World Heavyweight Title on the line, Sky had Lethal matched with three falls a piece. But Sky was done in when he attempted a Swanton Bomb to the outside, only to miss the champion, and take a scary bump on the steel steps, thereby putting an end to his World Championship aspirations.

6. You Don't Mess With The One He Loves (8th Anniversary Show - October 28, 2015):
Let's face it, trustworthiness is not a trait Chris is often bragged on for. He's betrayed his ex Eddie Edwards three times, no less! But when he and Edwards were together Sky was as loyal as they come. After his cousin Caleb Essick attacked Edwards, resulting in twenty stitches in Edwards head, it lead to a heated rivalry between the cousins that saw Caleb win the RTX Championship at one point. But during their hellacious T.L.C. Match at the 8th Anniversary show, Sky dove from a beam 15 feet above the ground, putting Caleb through two tables below and (almost) cementing his loyalty.
